Following the end of Support to Live at Home contracting for provision of home care services, ACS undertook a tender for new contracts which has been completed and successful providers have been notified.
I was invited to meet with ACS this week in response to several communications expressing concern at progress and developments in relation to the new domiciliary tendering process, notably their (ACS) decision to open up and re-tender.
ACS has assured me that this is principally to increase the number of providers who would be able to help support clients in Suffolk since the response to the original tender had not been as significant as they would have hoped for.
If you have not or are considering submitting a tender this time round, I would urge you to do so.
Details of the re-tender will be published on 24th June 2019.
Also, I was assured that the banding allocation in response to tender submissions for providers would only be applicable until the first contract management review when the allocation would be confirmed or adjusted. This is to enable ACS to ensure quality service provision within the County.
If you have any further queries, please do let me know.
